A Thousand Nights Under Stars – Babak Tafreshi

Babak Tafreshi spent the past two decades photographing surreal scenes of night sky in all continents, an adventurous journey to the wonders of Earth under stars. The work that documents the last remaining starry skies on the planet to increase public awareness on values of natural night environment for all species.

His new book "The World at Night" will be available at the meeting with book signing 7:30-8:00 pm.

Babak is a National Geographic photographer, the founder and director of The World at Night (TWAN) international program, a science journalist, and contributing photographer of Sky & Telescope magazine. Born in Tehran and lives in Boston, his Earth & sky images merge art, culture, and science. @babaktafreshi | babaktafreshi.com
