Re: (ATMoB:Discuss) Re: Occultation by Nephele next Saturday evening
Hi Peter,
Assuming that the weather agrees, and
I'm able to get out to observe the occultation, I'd love to provide another
measurement. I'm relatively new to estimating magnitudes visually,
but I figure if I can spend some time in the region of the occultation
before hand, i'll be able to help out. I have one issue however..
what is the best way to time the occultation by WWV? It may be a
newbie question.. so please excuse. I'm an AAVSO wannabe, so this
may help prime me to head in that direction. I may pick up a stopwatch
to time the length of the occultation. What do you suggest? I want to make
sure that my info is as accurate as possible.
Appreciate your time and efforts.. great
PDF document. Very helpful.
