They're actually pretty clever and seem to stay just this side of legal.
They claim that your name goes into a book that goes into the Library of
Congress. What they don't tell you is that anybody with $30 can send a book
to the Library of Congress.
Of course, ethically they are total creeps, but there's not law to cover
that.
