I've been researching the deal you got on the Minolta. Looks like a great
deal on a very nice camera if you can wait long enough to get all the
rebates. One thing I did notice in researching the DiMage 5 is that it gets
quite warm. One reviewer also indicated that the noise level was pretty
high (although optics were truly excellent). This is probably a secondary
effect of the heat.
If I understand the issues correctly, this would certainly indicate that
you'd need very frequent black shots.
