Michael,
Welcome! I have used those "furniture slider" thingies which conveniently
come with rubber on one side and stickers for attaching. The gray part that
usually contacts the floor is teflon (I believe, or something resembling
it).
It works great when used against a piece of "Ebony Star" laminate, which
you
can buy sheets of at Home Depot.
