Re: (ATMoB:Discuss) Solar Max
I was at the Museum of Science for the total solar eclipse event on June 21. I
ran into several other ATMoB members. Rich Nugent and I were interviewed by
WHDH-TV (Channel 7) about the eclipse--we put in a plug for the ATMoB. I heard
that we were on the evening news, but I did not see it.
Later that day, at 5 pm, the MOS Omni Theater showed SOLARMAX,
http://www.solarmovie dot com . It was a very good movie about the sun and the solar
maximum. My wife, kids (ages 3 and 8), and I were all impressed with the SOHO
shots, time lapse movies, and educational content of the movie. I even bought
the SOLARMAX soundtrack on CD. The movie and sound were very well put together.
Perhaps this was just a special showing due to the eclipse? Apparently the
ushers working the Omni had not seen it.
